Burke's Beach Rentals originated 65 years ago when three high school friends came up with a plan to make money to support their surfing habits.

The three friends happily ran the business together for some years then two of the partners left to pursue other ventures. The remaining partner, Jimmy Burke became the sole owner.

As the years passed, it became a family business with Jimmy's five children and now his grandchildren joining in during summer vacations. Most of the Burke clan still resides on Tybee Island.

The Burke family maintains to this day what those three high school friends said 65 years ago, “We are here to make your trip on Tybee Island a unique and wonderful beach experience.”
